Best listened to with headphones

This is the first song I've ever created from start to finish in one sitting. It is all me, playing rythm guitar, lead guitar, bass guitar and percussion (using Fruity Loops program for the percussion stuff...). I started today (November 3, 2007) at about 1PM and finished at 11PM, so I've been working hard on it. It's still really a slop job though lol, but I'm really excited about it : )

I started playing guitar in the 6th grade, I guess that's about 12 or 13 years old or so? I continued playing through till the end of high school, then my fire for music seemed to wan down to practically nothing. Now at 37 years old I'm thirsting for it again, so have been playing this last month or so at home a lot. I just started guitar lessons to learn my scales, which I've never learned, so that's why the solo in this song is so lame : P Anyway, if I can keep my fire for learning burning, I'll try and create some more songs and get them up here.

Seriously, please use headphones for this if you can, unless you have a good stereo system. You'll hear so much more going on if you use headphones for this!

So yeah, I hacked around with Fruity Loops to try and make up a drum beat for it, I guess it turned out ok. For the Bass line I played it on my electric guitar (JS1000 Ibanez), recorded it on my PC and then used Adobe Audition to knock the part down one full octive, now it sounds just like a real electric bass! Then I just looped it through until it covered all of my wanna-be solo. Same with the background rythm guitar, I just played my 3 chords (lol) one full repetition onto the PC, into Audition, then simply looped it over and over until I felt it was long enough. Last was the solo, which really needed a lot clipped out. I don't know my scales yet so it is all just guesswork going by ear. The whole song is 100% Mikey!!! As simple as it is I'm pretty proud of it :)
